Ten Classic Halloween Cartoons
I don’t really have anything against too many of the cartoons these days, but for the most part they’re pretty atrocious. Having three kids as I do I pretty much get to check out and rate the new toons that hit the channels, and for the love of God I just can’t understand how and why Japanese animators have taken the jobs away from American artists — like me for instance — and continually manage to grind out cookie-cutter crap. Oh well, I guess as long as the kids approve, right?
Anyway, I often long for and miss the good old days of cartoons from the big two: Disney and Looney Tunes. Back when Disney Channel didn’t feature countless, painful hours of Hanna Montana and Camp Crock, and Cartoon Network stuck to countless hours of Bugs Bunny. Those were the days. Well, thankfully, you can find all of these gems on DVD’s that have been released over the years, and most of them can be located on YouTube and the like. What makes these even greater is the simple fact that they’re all related in one way or another to Halloween! Oh yeah, classic tunes about the most frightening of holidays. Enjoy!
