It used to be, in order to be a successful musician, you had to have talent. But the record companies got together and developed a formula for turning people who could merely sing into superstars with best selling records. The songs are bubble gum, don’t last beyond the year, and are forgotten about once the new fad comes around.

However, these songs are played everywhere, and those of us who appreciate good music find ourselves punching our television, ripping off our ears, or worst case, killing ourselves, as these crummy songs blast over the airwaves.
